when you fall asleep, you will enter the area you spend the most time in throughout your playthrough, the dream world. in this world, you can leave your room. when you leave your room, you will be greeted with a new area called the nexus, a small room with thirteen doors that lead to their own worlds. the worlds you go into often lead to many other worlds, and those worlds to even more after that.

the end 'goal' in this game is simply to collect all 24 effects scattered about the worlds, and lay them all down in the nexus. i use the word goal loosely, as there isn't any set objectives in this game. no dialogue, no text telling you what to do. at it's core, it's only an exploring game. you wander around for hours through abstract looping worlds, hoping to stumble across a door or effect. it's a disorienting experience, and tends to put me in a dissociative state after playing for too long.

however, in order to get the official ending, you must acquire all 24 effect eggs and set them down in the nexus.
